Description
We are currently seeking a qualified tender bid developer to take on the responsibility of managing the organization's tender process. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency and quality of goods and services procured by the organization through the tendering process. This includes overseeing the end-to-end tendering procedures to achieve optimal results and contribute to the overall success of our procurement efforts.
Requirements
- Preferred qualifications include a degree in business administration or supply chain.
- Candidates should have a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in the tender industry.
- Proficiency in basic buying and purchasing practices is essential.
- Additionally, candidates are expected to demonstrate knowledge of basic budget management and calculations.
Strong customer relations skills are a prerequisite, along with qualities such as being well-organized, detail-oriented, forward-thinking, and proactive.- Familiarity with the Microsoft Office package is required, and candidates should be capable of working independently as well as being flexible team players.
- The ability to prioritize tasks and effectively manage one's own time is crucial.
- Candidates must also exercise discretion and uphold a commitment to confidentiality.
Responsibilities
- Process requisitions with clear and explicit specifications through the quotation process, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services.
- Verify that the work being quoted for has well-defined requirements in terms of time, labor, and materials.
- Utilize a standardized price list for consistency in quoting.
- After consultation, decide which tenders to bid on and formulate a strategic bid management plan.
- Gather information and conduct research with support from relevant departments.
- Coordinate all necessary materials for tender preparation.
- Craft a cover letter that addresses the bid invitation.
- Ensure timely delivery of tenders.
- Supervise tender officers and oversee smooth operational processes.
- Develop tender documents or contracts.
- Follow through to completion and secure business for the company.
- Organize demonstrations by facilitating communication between the technical team and the client.
- Establish effective liaison between the technical and customer service departments to ensure compliance with client expectations.
- Provide the required reports at agreed-upon frequencies and intervals.
