Description
Our client, a leading Hotel in Mombasa is looking for a Hotel Manager who will be overall in charge of all Hotel Operations
Excluding Finance.
Requirements
- Diploma in Hotel Management from a reputable institution.
- Experience in an established formal Hotel & Conferencing business, demonstrating a deep understanding of the industry.
- Extensive background in hotel accommodation and conferencing operations.
- Previous role as an Assistant Manager in a well-established hotel.
- Proficiency in Hotel procedures and processes, including F&B, Housekeeping, F&B Control, and other departments.
- Competence in digital marketing for hotels, particularly through online channels.
- Strong relationships with organizations conducting conferences at hotels.
Responsibilities
- Be responsible for effectively managing all the hotel’s daily functions and contributing to its success & profitability.
- Key liaison with external stakeholders e.g. County government, Area and Industry Associations, Security teams etc.
- Create a work atmosphere that is conducive to staff productivity & optimum customer experience.
- Responsible for all opening and closing procedures of the hotel.
- Anticipate guest needs and liaise with department heads to ensure client satisfaction.
- Upholds commitment to all safety and sanitation practices.
- Monitors the cleaning of kitchen, dining areas, bedrooms and public areas to maintain sanitation standards, and keep appropriate records.
- Monitor actions of staff and customers to ensure that health and safety standards regulations are obeyed.
- In liaison with Sales Manager and finance team, negotiates the terms of sales agreements and supports in closing sales.
- Liaises with Human Resources Consultant to ensure all employment regulations are followed.
- Ensures that all complaints by customers are addressed immediately and settled.
- Maintains and develops relationships with new and existing customers.
- Reviews sales performance, aiming to meet or exceed targets.
- Provides feedback from customers to enhance service delivery.
- Ensures that guest accounts are properly posted and maintained.
- Oversees the proper input of all reservations in hotel systems.
- Overseas quality of customer service at all areas of the hotel.
- Holds regular HOD and all Staff meetings to ensure efficient flow of communication.
- Remains current on room rates, room availability and emergency procedures.
- Produces management reports as per the company specification.
- Produces monthly management reports for reporting to Directors.
- Develops ideas for marketing the hotel and its facilities to meet and exceed targets.
