Description
The Business Development Manager will drive revenue growth by identifying, developing, and managing new business opportunities in the events industry. This role requires a strong understanding of event management, conference management, and the ability to develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the events industry and demonstrate strategic thinking, leadership, and sales expertise.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Event Management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in business development within the events or conferencing industry.
- Proven ability to meet sales targets and drive business growth in events and conferencing.
- Deep knowledge of event management, conferencing logistics, and industry trends.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Team player with a collaborative mindset.
- Creative problem-solving and strategic thinking skills.
Responsibilities
- Business Development: Identify opportunities, develop strategies, and drive sales growth in event management and conferencing.
- Client Management: Build and maintain strong relationships, handle client engagements, and ensure satisfaction and retention.
- Event Execution: Collaborate with teams to deliver tailored solutions, oversee event operations, and ensure quality service delivery.
- Sales and Revenue: Manage a sales pipeline, prepare proposals, close deals, and achieve revenue targets.
- Networking: Represent the company at industry events, build partnerships, and stay updated on industry trends.
- Reporting: Maintain records, analyze performance, and refine strategies for improved results.
KPIs: Revenue growth, client acquisition and retention, successful contract conversions, client satisfaction, and market share expansion.
