Description
Our client in the retail industry is looking for candidates to join their team as bakers to handle production and quality for our client’s bakeries in accordance with approved standards and company guidelines.
Requirements
- Familiarity with bakery operations, preferably mass production of bread.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a comparable role in a hot kitchen.
- Training in food hygiene and safety.
- Effective communication skills.
- Enthusiastic and outgoing personality with a strong focus on guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Possesses a comprehensive understanding of baking recipes and their precise proportions.
- Capable of closely and accurately following recipes, promptly identifying any issues that may arise.
- Proficient in interpreting and measuring ingredients accurately with minimal supervision.
- Familiarize yourself with the operation of batter and dough mixers, ensuring effective use.
- Ensures thorough sealing and packaging of all baked products.
- knowledgeable about proper storage, labeling, and packing of ingredients.
- Proficient in fundamental baking methods, including creaming, rubbing in, hot milk, blind baking, and all-in-one.
- skilled in baking a variety of items, such as croissants, pies, bread, cakes, muffins, and cookies.
- Competent in cleaning, assembling, and disassembling machines, such as food processors, scales, planetary mixers, and stick blenders.
- Easily molds and scoops bakery items like bread and chocolate chip cookies.
- Capable of folding dough into various shapes and sizes, showcasing creativity in shaping.
- Demonstrates consistency in producing high-quality products efficiently.
- Adheres to trained standard operating procedures to minimize risks and ensure safety.
- Promptly report any observed incidents or accidents in the workplace to the team leader.
- Achieves set annual performance development plans as agreed upon with the team leader.
- Actively pursues continuous improvement through personal development programs and training.
